iGirouette is an interactive traffic sign that displays geo-localized tweets sent in the city. The sign is connected to Twitter via 3g, gathers all the tweets near the sign, and display them every minutes.
You can interact with the hashtag #igirouette, and even ask for a good restaurant, or ask where the party is tonight!
We made all the software behind the prototype, now commercialized by Biin. This include:
- 3 arduinos controllers for motors and LED displays
- 1 beagleboard that manage arduinos and sync everything with the web service
- One python webservice for managing all the devices, tweets, and handle dispatching.
